What Counts Toward Limits
Conversations
Each conversation counts once regardless of:
- Number of messages exchanged
- Conversation duration
- Channel type (voice, SMS, chat, email)
A conversation is created when:
- A phone call is answered
- First SMS message is sent/received
- Chat widget opens and first message is sent
- Email thread is created
Voice Minutes
Voice minutes are measured from:
- Call start (
started_at) to call end (ended_at) - Includes all time: active conversation, hold time, transfers, pauses
Unlimited Channels
SMS, Chat, and Email are unlimited, meaning:
- No per-message charges
- No monthly message limits
- Subject to fair use policies
- No throttling under normal usage
