Upload documents that your AI assistant can reference when answering questions. Documents are processed, indexed, and made available during conversations.

Documents provide detailed business information that your AI can use to:
- Answer questions about company policies
- Reference product documentation
- Explain service details
- Provide accurate information from your files
Supported Formats
File Types
- PDF (.pdf): PDF documents
- Word (.docx): Microsoft Word documents
- Text (.txt): Plain text files
- Markdown (.md): Markdown formatted files
- Excel (.xlsx): Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
File Requirements
- Max file size: 25MB per document
- Text extraction: Text is automatically extracted
- Character counting: Extracted text counts toward your character limit
- Indexing: Documents are indexed for quick retrieval
Uploading Documents
Upload Process
- Click "Upload Document" button
- Select file from your computer
- File is uploaded and processed
- Text is extracted and indexed
- Document appears in your document list
Processing Time
Document processing typically takes:
- Small files (< 1MB): 10-30 seconds
- Medium files (1-10MB): 30-60 seconds
- Large files (10-25MB): 1-3 minutes
Processing happens automatically after upload.
Document Management
Viewing Documents
View all uploaded documents showing:
- Filename: Original file name
- File type: Document format
- Character count: Extracted text length
- Upload date: When document was added
Character Counting
Character count includes:
- All extracted text from document
- Headers and footers
- Table content (if extractable)
- Metadata (if included)
Deleting Documents
Remove documents you no longer need:
- Click delete button on document
- Confirm deletion
- Document and its text are removed
- Character count is freed up
Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

- Finds relevant sections
- References document content in response
- Provides accurate, sourced information

Documents are retrieved based on:
- Question relevance
- Content matching
- Document recency
- Document priority (if set)

- Organize Well: Use clear, descriptive filenames
- Keep Current: Update documents when information changes
- Be Selective: Only upload relevant, useful documents
- Optimize Size: Large documents use more characters
- Remove Outdated: Delete documents that are no longer relevant
- Use Structure: Well-structured documents are easier to index
