Social Media Queues
Social Media Queues allow you to schedule automatic posting times for your social media profiles. Set up time slots for each day of the week to automatically publish posts at optimal engagement times.
What are Queues?
Queues define when posts should be automatically published to social media accounts. Each queue:
- Belongs to a Profile: Queues are profile-specific
- Defines Time Slots: Set specific posting times for each day of the week
- Uses Timezone: All times are in your specified timezone
- Can be Active/Inactive: Enable or disable queues without deleting them
Creating a Queue
Step 1: Select Profile
Choose which profile this queue applies to. The queue will only schedule posts for accounts within that profile.
Step 2: Set Timezone
Select the timezone for your posting schedule. All time slots will be interpreted in this timezone.
Tip: Use your target audience's timezone for optimal engagement.
Step 3: Configure Time Slots
Add time slots for each day of the week:
- Select Day: Choose which day(s) of the week
- Set Time: Enter the posting time (e.g., "09:00", "14:30")
- Add Multiple Slots: You can add multiple time slots per day
Example Schedule:
- Monday: 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM
- ... (repeat for each day)
Step 4: Activate Queue
Toggle the queue to active when ready. Inactive queues won't schedule posts.
Queue Management
Viewing Queues
View all queues:
- See which profile each queue belongs to
- View time slots for each day
- Check queue status (active/inactive)
- See timezone information
Editing Queues
Update queue settings:
- Change time slots
- Modify timezone
- Add or remove days
- Change profile assignment
Queue Status
Queues can be:
- Active: Queue is scheduling posts according to time slots
- Inactive: Queue is disabled and won't schedule posts
Tip: Deactivate queues instead of deleting them to preserve scheduling history.
How Queues Work
Automatic Scheduling
When a queue is active:
- Posts in Queue: Posts scheduled for "queue" will be published at the next available time slot
- Time Slot Matching: System finds the next matching time slot for the queue's profile
- Automatic Publishing: Post is published at the scheduled time
- Multi-Platform: Post publishes to all selected platforms simultaneously
Time Slot Priority
When multiple time slots are available:
- System uses the next upcoming time slot
- If no slots available today, uses tomorrow's first slot
- Weekends follow the same pattern
Queue vs Manual Scheduling
- Queue Scheduling: Posts are published at the next available time slot in the queue
- Manual Scheduling: Posts are published at a specific date/time you choose
Use Queues When:
- You want consistent posting times
- You have regular content to publish
- You want to automate posting schedules
Use Manual Scheduling When:
- You have time-sensitive content
- You want to publish at a specific time
- You're testing optimal posting times
Best Practices
- Start with One Queue: Create one queue per profile to begin
- Test Time Slots: Monitor engagement to find optimal times
- Consider Timezones: Use your audience's timezone
- Regular Updates: Adjust time slots based on analytics
- Weekend Considerations: Decide if you want weekend posting
Troubleshooting
Posts Not Publishing
- Check queue is active
- Verify time slots are configured
- Ensure posts are set to "queue" scheduling
- Check timezone is correct
- Verify profile has connected accounts
Wrong Publishing Times
- Verify timezone setting
- Check time slot format (HH:MM)
- Ensure queue is assigned to correct profile
- Review time slot configuration
Multiple Queues
- Each profile should have one queue
- Queues don't conflict across profiles
- Posts use the queue for their profile
